Autumn Equinox Thursday 29 March 1-3
We are currently celebrating the second of the Harvest Festivals which was on 21st March. This is the counterpoint to the Spring Equinox celebration and while both are points of balance where the days are the same length as the nights, now we are heading towards Winter. Joining in with Community Harvest Celebrations to celebrate abundance with gratitude, it is a time of sharing your family story with family and friends.
The preparation of jams, pickles and preserves are important to help us
remember our connection Mother Nature, to honour the abundance around us and our commitment to not wasting anything. Dusting off our craft implements to create over the winter months. Blessing the animals and having a special meal to thank the gardens and the livestock for their generosity and sacrifice. Leaving a gift to bless Mother Earth. It is a time of purification so whatever that means for you whether it is a clearing ceremony, a sweat lodge, a sauna any or all will be perfect. Cleansing our homes to greet the new season. We are at a time of transformation and change. Planting bulbs and seeds as a promise that the light will return once more.
